Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care per the nursing process, including assessments, exams, treatment, education, and records.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Delegates to and directs members of the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Develops discharge and transfer plans and participates in program evaluation and improvement.
