Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (GWUH) is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide safe, patient‑centered care in a dynamic tertiary care setting.

The nurse will lead and collaborate with the healthcare team, uphold the facility’s standards, and demonstrate service excellence within a trusted academic medical center in downtown Washington, DC. Candidates should hold an accredited RN program, current state license, and BLS/NRP certifications, with prior acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• NRP (or obtained within three months of employment).
• BLS certification.
• Current state nursing license.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
