Job summary

CHI Health Lakeside in Omaha, NE seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) with NICU experience to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients and families. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while coordinating with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires RN licensure in Nebraska, BLS/CPR certification, and NICU experience. You will follow the nursing process, document care, and participate in ongoing neonatal programs and competencies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in NICU required.
  • Graduate of an RN nursing program, on hire.
  • Registered Nurse with Nebraska license on hire.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification on hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality care.
  • Deliver individualized, comprehensive care and perform skilled procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Follow the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
  • Document all phases of the nursing process in patient records.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

  • Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
  • Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors
  • Plan – Sets measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team.
  • Implement – Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice. This includes care coordination, education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed.
  • Evaluate – Uses a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals. Revision of plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Documents all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record.

We are offering up to $10,000 Sign on Bonus and up to $10,000 in student loan repayment assistance to new hires who meet the following eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements
  • Experience working in the NICU required
  • Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: NE, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 - months

Pay Range

$36.00 - $52.20 /hour
