CHI Health Lakeside in West Omaha seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a NICU setting. You will perform skilled assessments, implement patient care plans, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements include NICU experience, RN licensure, CPR, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and student loan repayment assistance are offered. Pay range $36.00-$52.20 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in the NICU.
  • Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire.
  • Registered Nurse: NE, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
  • Assessment: collect data across psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors.
  • Plan: set measurable short and long term goals with the patient and team.
  • Implement: modify the plan of care with clinical reasoning and coordination.
  • Evaluate: ongoing progress toward goals and revise as needed with the team.
  • Documents all phases of the nursing process in the patient’s record.

  • Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
  • Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors
  • Plan - Sets measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team.
  • Implement - Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice. This includes care coordination, education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed.
  • Evaluate - Uses a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals. Revision of plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Documents all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record.
  • We are offering up to $10,000 Sign on Bonus and up to $10,000 in student loan repayment assistance to new hires who meet the following eligibility requirements.
