Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders and to consult on therapy effectiveness. You will act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care and perform duties as assigned.

This full-time role (36 hours/week) is on the night shift with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for RRTs. All RTs will train on and be assigned to the NICU on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
  • Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; PALS if ER.
  • Other: Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and mobility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders.
  • Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
  • Serve as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
  • Will rotate to NICU on a rotating basis.
