Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for the care team in both hospital and critical care settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS is required for co-workers in the Emergency Room.
• Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Preferred ACLS.
• Preferred critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
• Perform duties as assigned.
