Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in California. The RCP will perform diagnostics, therapies, and monitoring within policy guidelines, and provide education to patients, families, and other health professionals.

Duties include documentation, charging for therapies, and maintaining safety and infection control. Required qualifications include CA RCP license, BLS, ACLS, and 2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience, with bronchoscopy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care.
• 2 years of acute care experience in respiratory therapy.
• Experience in bronchoscopy.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner license is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals (BLS) required.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• The Respiratory Care Practitioner performs cardiopulmonary diagnostics, therapeutics and monitoring within scope of practice per physician approved policies and protocols.
• Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals.
• Maintains professional conduct and accurate documentation of therapies provided and charging for therapies.
• Ensures safe, clean environment and adheres to infection control requirements.
