Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Palo Alto, CA. The RN will care for newborns, including pre-term and at-risk infants, under physician supervision.

This role offers 36 hours weekly, a pay rate of $2,950 per week, and comprehensive benefits. Eligible candidates hold an active CA RN license, NICU experience, and required certifications.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices required
• One year NICU experience required
• NRP card per contract requirement
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide NICU care for newborns under physician supervision, including pre-term and at-term infants with complications.
• Monitor vitals, administer medications, and address medical needs per protocol.
• Coordinate daily care activities and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The Registered Nurse – NICU cares for newborn babies who aredelivered pre-term or at-term newborns who experience complications at the timeof birth. The Registered Nurse – NICUprovides intensive around-the-clock care, including both medical needs andbasic daily care activities under the supervision and direction of thePhysician.
