Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas in Irving, TX is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide ventilator setup and bedside care for NICU and pediatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will work with CRTs and RRTs as part of a dynamic clinical team, ensuring high-quality care across ICU, NICU, and emergency areas.

The role requires NBRC-RRT, ACLS, BCLS, PALS; an Associate Degree is required, and 2 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS certification is required.
• PALS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification (or NBRC-RRT) required within 90 days.
• NBRC-RRT credential is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, evaluate and provide quality respiratory care per policy and acts.
• Document patient care and use of equipment like ventilators and gas analyzers.
• Clean, disinfect and store equipment properly.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care practices to improve outcomes.
