HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is actively seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team. You will assist Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care, monitor basic needs, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

In this role, you’ll support care plans, contribute to infection control, and communicate clearly with patients and families. This position emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and patient dignity within a major Florida health system.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
