Job summary

Dayton Children's Main Campus in the NICU is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Assistant (PCA II) to assist the nurse in patient care across developmental levels. Schedule is 24 hours per week.

You will measure and record vital signs, help with activities of daily living, provide safe transportation and environment for patients, and support clinical and clerical tasks. CPR is preferred at hire and must be obtained within two weeks of start date.

Qualifications

• Education: HSD/GED required.
• Experience: PCA training or PCA experience or actively enrolled in a health care related education program.
• 1-2 years STNA experience in hospital setting is preferred.
• CPR is preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records vital signs, intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides safe transportation and environment for patients.
• Cross trained to support the clinical and clerical sides of the business.
