Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Registered Nurse II for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The RN II provides care guided by the nursing process, prioritizes patient needs, and collaborates with the health care team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, and family education while maintaining strict documentation and confidentiality. The RN will participate in ongoing staff development and adhere to institutional policies.

Qualifications

• One year recent Neonatal Level II or higher experience or completion of KP NICU Training within 12 months.
• Current California RN license is required.
• NRP and BLS certifications must be in place at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing assessments focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural and cognitive status; include family education and advocacy.
• Develop a goal-directed plan of care and implement it consistently.
• Coordinate care and communicate with the health care team to prioritize patient needs.
• Document care and patient responses timely and accurately.
• Demonstrate knowledge of legal issues, confidentiality and risk management.
