Job summary

Henry Ford Health's NICU unit in Southfield is seeking a Unit Educator to advance nursing practice in a 15-bed Level III environment. You will partner with leadership to design and deliver educational initiatives that improve patient outcomes and staff development.

You will mentor nurses, translate evidence into practice, and lead quality improvement projects while ensuring the highest standards of care on the unit. This onsite, day-shift role requires a BSN and Michigan RN licensure.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Equivalent of four years clinical experience preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to teach patients, families and co-workers.
• Demonstrates leadership, communication, problem solving and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate educational initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Inspire and mentor nursing staff by modeling clinical excellence.
• Develop and deliver educational programs for staff, patients, and families.
• Champion quality improvement initiatives for patient safety and care delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate nursing knowledge into unit operations.
• Uphold high standards of professional practice and ethical decision-making.
