Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a part-time NICU RN for the 7p-7a shift in a 24-bed Level 2 unit. The RN provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinates with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver high-quality outcomes, and supports patients and families.

The role includes thorough assessments, medication administration, monitoring equipment, helping with procedures, infection control, and participating in CPR and code team activities as required.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in Indiana.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• NICU or pediatric care experience preferred.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to work nights and part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer medications; monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Collaborate with care team on individualized plans.
• Respond to emergencies; participate in CPR and code team.
• Educate patients and families; ensure infection control.
• Operate and monitor NICU equipment; ensure safety.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
