Job summary

The St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate NICU clinical activities, supervise LPNs, Unit Assistants and CNAs, and float to PICU/Pediatrics as needed.

36-hour work weeks, night shift 7pm–7am, with a supportive, community-focused team and competitive compensation. Required LA RN licensure, Board Certified Nursing Program, 1 year of Level IV NICU or 2 years Level III NICU experience, plus BLS; NRP and PALS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current LA RN licensure.
• 1 year of Level IV NICU experience within the past 12 months or 2 years Level III NICU experience within the past 3 years preferred.
• BLS required upon hire. NRP and PALS required within 90 days of hire. ILCOR courses may include provider such as AHA/Red Cross with manikin check-off.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical activities for NICU patients using nursing process.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and CNAs.
• Float to PICU and Pediatrics as needed per unit needs.
