Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana (LA) is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current PALs certification.
• Current ACLS certification (CHNOLA CICU).
• Current CPI (level 1) (CHNOLA PICU).
• Current NRPI (NICU).

Responsibilities

• Take the lead: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints for patients.
• Evaluate vital signs and monitor life support technologies.
• Apply knowledge of complex patient conditions including psycho/social needs.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Engage with patients and families about significant events and care plans.
• Prevent and treat wounds and ensure infection control standards.
• Ensure continuity of care and effective communication across care teams.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to meet patient care needs promptly and safely.
• Provide patient and family education using appropriate resources.
• Contribute to the team by supporting colleagues and patient advocacy.
