Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine is seeking a Registered Nurse for our NICU to provide high-quality care in a Level III unit. You will manage assessments, care plans, and interventions for a high-acuity patient population, including vented and high-risk deliveries.

The role requires 1 year Level 3 NICU experience (vented patients) or strong Level 2 background, with on-site 7pm–7am shifts and a 1-in-6 on-call schedule. Strong teamwork and patient-family education are essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas or eligible
• BLS certification required or obtainable within 30 days of start
• Strong assessment, planning and communication skills required
• Experience in NICU or Level III environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed patient assessments and develop care plans
• Implement and monitor nursing interventions in NICU
• Educate patients and families; coordinate with multidisciplinary team
• Document care and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory, and support staff
• Maintain safety, quality and efficient patient care in a fast-paced unit
• Participate in on-call schedule and 30-minute proximity requirement
