Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NICU on the night shift in Roanoke, VA. You will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and use EPIC for documentation while ensuring safety and excellent patient experience.

You will assess patients of all ages, plan and implement care, and participate in education and performance improvement activities. VA licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS as required by unit are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required. May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.
• Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for all ages.
• Develops an age-specific plan of care with the health care team.
• Administers treatments and medications and documents in EMR.
• Educates patients and families; participates in performance improvement activities.
