Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a dedicated music therapist to deliver bedside, family-centered care for pediatric patients. You will implement evidence-based therapies, participate in rounds, and help develop unit programs while pursuing MT-BC certification within 12 months of hire.

Education requires a Bachelor’s in Music Therapy; BLS is required within 6 months. The role supports development, bereavement, and family education with a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music therapy (AMTA approved).
• MT-BC credential required within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside music therapy sessions focusing on social, emotional, physical and developmental health.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and document patient goals in EMR.
• Develop and evaluate unit-specific music therapy programs and mentor students.
