Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Part-time Music Therapist to deliver pediatric music therapy at the bedside and in unit programs.

The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, cultural responsiveness, and evidence-based practice within a pediatric hospital setting. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in music therapy, MT-BC credential within 12 months, and BLS certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music therapy from AMTA-approved program.
• MT-BC credential within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Spanish language skills preferred.
• 1–2 years pediatric MT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside music therapy sessions focusing on medical, social, emotional, and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with medical and psychosocial teams and participate in rounds.
• Document patient goals and progress in the EMR.
• Develop unit-specific MT programming and supervise students/interns.
