NICU Family Support Program Coordinator (Cincinnati, OH - PTR)

Scope

This position coordinates the development, implementation, and evaluation of family-centered educational and social activities to support parents of NICU babies and NICU staff. Responsibilities include ensuring program compliance, maintaining March of Dimes NICU Family Support visibility, recruiting and managing volunteers, and developing local hospital relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Provide information, comfort, and services to families by coordinating parent education and social activities to meet program components.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, including family advisory committees.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and hospital protocols.
  • Offer and evaluate annual NICU staff professional development focused on family-centered care.
  • Serve as liaison between March of Dimes and hospital sites to strengthen partnerships.
  • Develop an annual program focus area in collaboration with leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities and impact reports as required.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • 1-3 years of work in a related field or as a NICU parent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred, or equivalent experience in Social Work, Education, Public Health, or licensed nursing.
  • Experience in program development and volunteer management.
  • Basic understanding of NICU medical and emotional issues.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Energetic, compassionate, and capable of managing multiple tasks and collaborating across disciplines in an intensive care setting.
