Job summary

NorthBay Health is seeking a Clinical Practice Specialist for the NICU who coordinates clinical and educational resources to uphold high standards of neonatal care.

The role collaborates with physicians and the Patient Care Services team to develop evidence-based practice, oversee NICU education and competency, and lead discharge planning. The ideal candidate holds an advanced nursing degree and California RN licensure with NICU certification and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s and/or doctoral degree in nursing.
• California RN license required.
• NICU nursing certification within 1 year of hire.
• Current AHA/BLS and NRP certification required.
• Clinical Nurse Specialist certification preferred.
• 3+ years neonatal nursing experience; NICU experience in Regional/Community NICU preferred.
• 3–5 years in education, Clinical Nurse Leader, or Clinical Nurse Specialist role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical and educational resources for the NICU.
• Promote evidence-based care delivery systems and clinical practice programs.
• Collaborate with physicians to establish an interdisciplinary patient care environment.
• Lead special projects for Patient Care Services as assigned.
• Direct clinical nursing practice in the NICU and oversee NICU education and competency.
