SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY seeks a full-time Clinical Nurse Specialist/Clinical Educator (NS35 NICU) to serve as a clinical expert in NICU/PICU/PEDS. You will lead education, develop standards, and collaborate with the Nursing Department to advance patient care for high-acuity neonates and children.

You will evaluate nursing practices, plan continuing education, and mentor staff while participating in research and outreach activities.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• New York State Registered Nurse Licensure
• 5+ years in NICU/PICU with supervisory experience
• Knowledge of performance improvement and regulatory requirements (e.g. TJC)
• Proficient oral and written communication
• Ability to lead in an academic healthcare setting and drive change
• AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certifications (instructor preferred)
• MS Word and Excel proficiency
• AWHONN membership
• Equivalency options acceptable

• Guide staff in learning needs and patient care improvement
• Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure high-quality care
• Teach and supervise students and medical staff; participate in Outreach Program
• Participate in clinical research and regulatory reviews
