AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a Child Life Specialist to support children and families through their healthcare journey. You will use developmentally appropriate play to reduce stress and provide emotional support, while mentoring students and maintaining certifications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a CCLS certification, and strong independence with patient-centered care. The position is full-time, dayshift, on-site at Orlando campus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Education, Recreation Therapy, or related field is required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Child Life Specialist Certification (CCLS) required.

• Promotes a positive experience for children and their families throughout their healthcare journey.
• Supports psychosocial development of children with developmentally appropriate information and play opportunities.
• Uses play and self-expressive activities to minimize stress for patients and families.
• May assist in interview processes for child life students and mentor others.
• Maintains professional development and certs.
