Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola, NY seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) in Neonatal ICU Level III on a rotating shift. The clinician delivers comprehensive neonatal care, plans and implements patient care with a multidisciplinary team, and supports families throughout the course of treatment.

The role requires NYS NP/RN licenses, NP certification, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be preferred. Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse License.
• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner License.
• Current Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Plans and organizes care to meet individual patient needs per protocols and ensures appropriate resource utilization.
• Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement the therapeutic plan of care for a group of patients.
• Prescribes in-patient and discharge medications according to NYS law, including controlled substances with DEA authorization.
• Facilitates continuity of care across the continuum of services (home care, other facilities, appointments).
• Maintains communication with family members, nursing staff, and other disciplines; supports education materials as relevant.
• Participates in professional nursing standards and regulations activities.
