Boutique Recruiting is seeking an experienced NICET Lead Security Technician in Seattle, WA. The role covers hands-on installation, service, and technical work across fire alarm, access control, intrusion, and video systems while supporting the growing fire alarm division.

The ideal candidate holds NICET II+ certification with an active WA EL-06 license and can lead field teams or remain hands-on with strong versatility across low-voltage technologies.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on fire alarm installation, service, and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on installation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm, security, access control, intrusion, and video surveillance systems
  • Support a workload spanning fire alarm and broader security technologies as the division expands
  • Travel to customer sites throughout the greater Seattle service territory, with occasional support for projects outside the primary service area
  • Work independently in the field while coordinating effectively with technical leadership, customers, and other technicians
  • Maintain high standards for system performance, code compliance, documentation, and quality of workmanship
  • Provide technical leadership and field guidance with potential supervisory responsibilities as the division grows
  • Remain adaptable across different manufacturers, technologies, project types, and customer environments

Job description

Position Title: NICET Certified Lead Security Technician

This is an opportunity for an experienced fire alarm and security technician to join a growing life safety operation at the ground level. The NICET Certified Lead Security Technician will perform hands-on installation, service, and technical work across fire alarm, access control, intrusion, video surveillance, and other low-voltage systems while helping support the continued expansion of the fire alarm division.

The ideal candidate is a NICET II+ certified technician with an active Washington EL-06 Electrical License who brings strong fire alarm expertise, broad security systems knowledge, and the versatility to work across multiple technologies. Candidates interested in future leadership will have significant growth potential, while highly skilled technicians who prefer to remain hands-on are equally encouraged to apply.

Pay Range: $60 - $65 / hour DOE

Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on installation, service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm, security, access control, intrusion, video surveillance, and related low-voltage systems

Requirements
  • NICET Level II certification or higher
  • Active Washington EL-06 Electrical License
  • Hands-on fire alarm installation, service, and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working with security, intrusion, access control, video surveillance, or other low-voltage technologies
  • Ability and willingness to work in a field-based role throughout the greater Seattle service territory
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and solve technical issues in the field
  • Valid ability to meet company background screening and job-related requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Level III certification or higher
  • FA-1 / Seattle Fire Alarm certification
  • Well-rounded experience across fire alarm, intrusion, security, cameras, access control, and related technologies
  • Experience with Brivo access control or ButterflyMX systems
  • Previous lead technician, field superintendent, or technical leadership experience
  • Interest in helping build and develop a growing fire alarm operation
