Job summary

NIAR Center for Aircraft Modification and Operations in Wichita, KS is seeking a CAMO Coordinator to join a fast-growing team in a hangar adjacent to McConnell AFB. The role supports the Operations department by removing barriers to work scope progress and coordinating cross-functional inputs.

You will serve as a liaison to engineering, methods, material logistics and quality, coordinating meetings for special topics requiring cross-functional input and monitoring governance for the assigned

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in a functional area and educate staff to ensure consistent and equitable application of policies and procedures.
• Support the CAMO programs and services by maintaining databases and websites, monitoring, facilitating, and enforcing compliance with established criteria, guidelines and standards.
• Problem solve and troubleshoot to resolve issues.
• Provide education and/or training to ensure the effectiveness of the program.
• Compile data and reports; provide status updates and reports as needed.

In a hangar adjacent to McConnell AFB that once housed Boeing AirForce One modification facilities, the CAMO team at NIAR providesproduction design, initial and Supplemental Type Certification,instrumentation installation, modifications and fieldsupport/repair. We are looking for a Coordinator to join ourfast-growing team!

Job Summary

• The CAMO Coordinator assists Operations department in removingbarriers to the progress of the assigned work scope.
• Assists operations with workforce guidance and first linecommunication.
• Serves as a liaison to support functions including but not isolatedto Engineering, Methods, Material Logistics and Quality.
• Coordinates meetings for Special topics that requirecross-functional inputs. Manages and monitors governance forassigned work scope.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a warehouse, maintenance, or aircraftenvironment
• Familiarity with hand tools and basic shop equipment
• Forklift certification, or ability and willingness to obtaincertification

Environmental Factors

• Active aircraft hangar environment with exposure to noise, movingequipment, and varying temperatures.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safetyglasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

Additional Information

• This position requires a valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 16 years old

Physical Requirements

• Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchangeinformation
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
