Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc. is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician III – Niagara Specialist in Lincoln, NE for onsite work. You will program, commission, and optimize building automation systems using the Niagara Framework and integrate multiple protocols.

The role involves mentoring technicians, upgrading legacy systems to Niagara platforms, and delivering high-quality service under safety standards. Requires 5+ years in HVAC controls and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC controls experience with increasing responsibility.
• Niagara N4/AX Certification (preferred).
• EPA–Universal Technician Certification (preferred).
• OSHA 10 (preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED with HVAC certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and deploy BAS using Niagara Framework to support HVAC control strategies.
• Lead and support system commissioning activities with testing and optimization.
• Design and implement integrations across BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.
• Install, troubleshoot, and service digital control systems.
• Provide advanced BAS diagnostics, repairs, and enhancements.
• Mentor junior technicians on Niagara programming and best practices.
• Prepare as-built drawings, sequences of operation, and commissioning records.
