Pay Range: $56,500.00 - $82,000.00 / year

Additional components of compensation may include:

  • Evening & night shift differential

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides individual and group therapy throughout the continuum of psychiatric services. Develops, implements and documents the treatment planning process and contributes to a smooth transition through the continuum of care.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing or related Mental Health field required. At least three years of clinical experience in an established psychiatric setting. Experience working in a managed care environment.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current valid licensure from the State of Illinois or active pursuit with licensure obtained within two years of being in the position. Licensure must be a LCPC, LPC, LSW, AMFT or LMFT. Maintains current nonviolent crisis intervention Certification. (annual) - Exception not required for BHR therapists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, develops, implements and evaluates patient’s treatment plan and progress. Revises plan as needed involving patients, families, significant others and other service providers.
  • Completes initial case opening and contacts family as appropriate.
  • Facilitates and provides psychotherapy, psycho-educational and/or goals groups on a routine basis.
  • Accurately documents appropriate patient information and communicates ongoing information with interdisciplinary team and referral sources.
  • Markets program and service to the community and participates in community activities.
  • Develops specific discharge plans and interventions based on assessment of patient needs. Provides appropriate referrals to aftercare providers, providing the patient with all necessary information to complete the referral.
  • Performs all aspects of care in an environment that optimizes patient and environmental safety in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and compliance efforts.
