Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in the United States is seeking a scientist to perform and support next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows, including sample preparation, library prep, sequencing and data review. You will execute routine molecular biology assays (DNA/RNA extraction, purification, qPCR/dPCR), generate quality data, and communicate results to the team and project lead.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a scientific field, experience with NGS, data interpretation and working in a regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific concentration.
• Experience in Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies is required.
• Experience with routine molecular biology assays (nucleic acid extraction, qPCR/dPCR).
• Strong data interpretation and quality control skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support NGS workflows: sample preparation, library prep, sequencing and data review.
• Execute routine molecular biology assays including DNA/RNA extraction and qPCR/dPCR.
• Generate quality data to support IND and/or BLA filings.
• Communicate results to the team and project lead through meetings/reports.

Job Description

• Perform and support next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows, including sample preparation, library preparation, sequencing, and data review
• Execute routine molecular biology assays, including DNA/RNA extraction, purification, quantification, qPCR, and digital PCR (dPCR)
• Generate quality data to support IND and/or BLA filings
• Communicateresults and provide input to theteam and project lead through meetings and in reports
• Perform quality control assessments and troubleshoot technical issues as needed
• Follow established laboratory procedures, SOPs, and quality guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate results

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelors in a scientific concentration
• Experience in Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies is required
• Experience with routine molecular biology assays, including nucleic acid extraction and qPCR/dPCR
• Strong skills in data interpretation and quality control
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, and electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Experience with GxP and working in a regulated lab environment

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with use of automation to generate data, perform data analysis, and notebook tracking to support test method execution
• Troubleshooting and reworking experiments based on data interpretation
• Experience analyzing and interpreting large data sets
