Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is expanding its Greenfield Talent Program (GTP) to transition new graduates into professional roles over 18 months. The program begins with two months of safety training at the Training Mine, followed by engineering exposure, frontline operations experience, and cross-functional business exposure to broaden industry understanding.

Upon completion, participants move into a technical role and join the Compass Development Program for continued growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent process-related degree required.
• 0–1 years' experience in metallurgy or processing preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and multiple software applications preferred.
• Strong safety record and safety leadership required.
• Team leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal/written communication skills required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions for extended periods.
• Ability to foster a team environment aligned with Nevada Gold Mines' vision.
• Ability to cross-train within process/metallurgical groups.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, ore control, labs, and other departments to ensure environmental compliance and safe plant operations.
• Contribute to day-to-day safe production, plant improvements, and economic development within the processing team.
• Provide technical assistance and analysis to process group stakeholders as a team leader.
• Contribute to strategic business planning and propose process improvements to maximize cash flow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description:

We are excited to announce the expansion of our Greenfield Talent Program (GTP). As a participant in the Nevada Gold Mines GTP you will be provided with a unique opportunity to transition from an academic environment to the professional workplace over the first 18-months of your career.

The program begins with two months of comprehensive safety training at our Training Mine; followed by one to two months of engineering exposure, approximately 12 months of hands‑on frontline operations experience, and an additional one to two months of exposure to other business areas that will help you to balance your understanding of the mining industry.

At the end of the 18-month program, you will transition into your technical role within the company and be enrolled in the Compass Development Program to continue the diverse exposure and learning that will round out your career. This structured approach ensures that our new graduates are well-prepared for successful careers at Nevada Gold Mines.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with operations, maintenance, ore control, metallurgical/assay labs, and outside departments to ensure environmental compliance and safe functionality of plant operations.
• Involved with the day‑to‑day safe production, plant improvements, and economic development, instrumentation, quality control, and trouble‑shooting problems within the processing team
• Be a team leader with excellent communication skills and be able to provide technical assistance and analysis to process group stakeholders.
• Understand strategic business planning and propose process improvement to maximize cash flow.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Process related degree required required
• Zero (0) to One (1) years' experience in metallurgy or processing preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in multiple software applications preferred
• Excellent safety record with the ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
• Team leadership, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions for extended periods of time required
• Ability to work and construct a team environment that creates and enhances the Nevada Gold Mines vision through understanding and capture of future opportunities required
• Ability to cross-train within the process and metallurgical group required
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
