Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Junior Geologist to join the Geoinformation and Data team. You will support exploration by ensuring high-quality geoscientific data is captured, managed, analyzed, and made accessible across its full lifecycle.

Work with GIS tools and geological databases to enable data-driven decisions. Ideal candidates are curious, proactive, and eager to grow skills in a collaborative, high-performing environment while contributing to safe practices and sustainable mining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with GIS platforms (configuration/administration/customization) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Proactive mindset with ability to learn quickly and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect geologic data, mapping, sampling, RC chip and core logging.
• Identify lithology, alteration and mineralogy related to gold systems.
• Ensure data integrity and QAQC procedures.
• Data synthesis, compilation and geologic interpretation to support targeting.
• Support drill program execution and safety goals.
• Deliver regular progress reports and presentations to stakeholders.
• Interpret downhole data and apply to drill targeting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Collection of geologic data, mapping, sampling, RC chip and core logging
• Ability to identify lithology, alteration and mineralogy associated with gold systems
• Ensure data integrity and implementation of QAQC procedures
• Data synthesis, compilation, and geologic interpretation to support targeting
• Support drill program execution and ensure zero harm
• Deliver regular progress reports and presentations, ensure key stake holders are kept up to date on project progress
• Interpret downhole televiewer data and apply to drill targeting
• Other duties as assigned

• Experience with GIS platforms, including configuration, administration, or customization preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills required
• Proactive mindset with the ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively across teams preferred
