Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking an Optimization Modeling & Technology Manager to lead digital models and decision-support tools across the NG & NGL value chain. The role connects Commercial, Trading, Operations, Scheduling, Logistics, Finance, and IT to translate business decisions into optimized solutions.

Requires a BS in Engineering and 10+ years in optimization modeling or related fields, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
10+ years of relevant experience in optimization modeling, operations research, planning, logistics, or digital solution development.

Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of NG & NGL optimization models and digital tools.
Translate plant configurations, process relationships, operating limits, product recoveries, quality requirements, and market terms into model requirements.
Partner with Digital/IT, data and architecture teams, and third‑party providers to design solutions, data integration, testing, and deployment.
