Job summary

The Children’s Home of Reading is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead the Nurse-Family Partnership program. You will oversee staffing, training, and supervision of nurse home visitors and support staff to ensure high‑quality family services.

This role emphasizes program management, community outreach, and collaboration with leadership to maintain fidelity to the NFP model, budgets, and reports. Join a mission-driven team improving lives through comprehensive home visitation and family support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or closely related field preferred.
• Experience in public/community health, including home visitation.
• Provided maternal/child health services, particularly in community setting.
• Program management and one‑on‑one supervision.
• Worked with diverse populations, communities, and organizations.

Responsibilities

• Staffing and Education: oversee recruitment and hiring of all nurse home visitors and admin staff.
• Ensures attendance at all required NFP education sessions per orientation materials and contract.
• Assess and develop strategies to address knowledge and skill gaps of nurse home visitors.
• Provide orientation and professional development opportunities to remediate gaps.
• Assign client caseloads and monitor nurse home visitors’ ability to manage caseloads.
• Provide performance feedback and develop improvement plans with staff.
• Contribute to a work culture that builds confidence and skill of nurse home visitors.
• Supervise and evaluate nurse home visitors and staff including leave and reviews.
