Vercel Inc. is seeking an Engineering Team Lead for the Next.js team to guide an experienced engineering group while staying close to code. You will own major technical initiatives, review code, debug production issues, and help with architectural decisions.

You will lead with a hands-on approach, partnering with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to shape rendering, caching, routing, build systems, and developer tooling, ensuring reliable, scalable growth of Next.js.

Formación

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Led engineers or small technical teams.
• Recent experience shipping production code.
• Strong judgment across React and framework architecture.
• Able to lead from the front and empower others.
• Experience building developer-facing products.
• Systems thinking with clean abstractions.
• Able to work through ambiguity.
• Balance speed and quality.
• Clear written communication.
• Experience with AI tools in workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Build and ship Next.js, review PRs, debug issues.
• Lead major technical initiatives from start to production.
• Set technical direction across rendering, caching, routing, build tools.
• Investigate performance regressions and production failures.
• Raise engineering bar with tests, reliability, observability.
• Coach engineers through feedback and reviews.
• Provide focused people leadership and career development.
• Improve team execution with lightweight planning.
• Partner with Product, Design, Infrastructure across Vercel.
• Champion open source and engage with contributors.
• Assist recruiting and grow the team.
