Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking a Camera Systems Engineer to design and analyze imaging and sensing systems and to define, execute, and automate system-level tests for camera technologies.

You’ll collaborate across teams to research, design, develop, test and qualify hardware for Apple products, driving end-to-end performance improvements. As part of the role, you will work on system and subsystem tests, conduct laboratory experiments, and automate measurements with Python,

Qualifications

• BS/MS in EE/ME/CS/Physics or equivalent and 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience with digital camera and/or optical systems technology.
• Experience in system level modeling/simulation, quantitative data analysis, and/or image/signal processing in Matlab and/or Python.
• Experience with designing/performing laboratory experiments for camera testing.
• PhD in a relevant field (preferred).
• Experience with defining/documenting system level requirements and testing/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Defining and documenting systems architecture, requirements, use case analysis, and tests for camera features and technologies.
• Defining subsystem and system level tests to characterize and/or guarantee parametric specifications and system level performance.
• Designing and performing laboratory experiments and documenting results.
• Compiling and analyzing data from multiple sources to gain insight into user behavior.
• Developing, maintaining, and documenting software and workflows to automate repetitive measurements (Python, Matlab, shell scripting, C/C++, etc.).
• Managing project deliverables and schedules to meet commitments to product development teams.
