Job summary

York Alliance Church in York, PA invites applications for Pastor/Director of Next Generation Formation (Full-Time). The person will oversee birth through college/young adult ministries, lead staff and volunteers, and partner with parents to shepherd students toward mature disciples.

Responsibilities include vision development for Children’s, Student, and College/Young Adult ministries aligned with YAC, teaching God’s Word, developing leadership, coordinating safety and assimilation paths, and

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ministry experience with students.
Strong calling to minister to students.
Experience in secular workplace is preferred.
Proven leadership with ability to head a department.
Clear and effective communication.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a vision for Children’s, Student, and College/Young Adult ministries aligned with YAC.
Teach and educate students in God’s Word.
Develop ambassadors for Christ through local and global mission trips.
Build and empower an adult leadership team; recruit new leaders.
Develop and mentor student leaders.
Oversee Children’s Formation volunteers and coordinators.
Maintain communication with parents and church about Student Ministries.
Oversee safety programs including background checks.
Assist in budgeting and departmental planning.
Maintain Sabbath and balance family/work responsibilities.
