Job summary

The Washington Post is seeking college juniors, seniors and graduate students for its flagship summer internship program. Interns report and write articles, edit copy, take photographs, shoot and edit video, create graphics, produce audio, design on multiple platforms, develop audience strategy and do data analyses.

You’ll work alongside award-winning journalists and are treated as staff during your internship, based out of Washington, D.C. headquarters.

Qualifications

• Must be a college junior, senior or graduate student enrolled in a degree program by the application deadline.
• Clear, concise writing is highly valued; enterprise reporting is valued.

Responsibilities

• Report and write articles quickly when news breaks; pursue longer enterprise work.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the newsroom to produce impactful, multi-format storytelling.
