Job summary

NewsNation is seeking a part-time Stage Manager to direct the studio floor in a fast-paced News/Production environment. This role will serve as the primary liaison between the control room, on-air talent and stage crew to ensure smooth broadcasts.

The ideal candidate has prior control room and studio experience, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a demanding setting. Weekend/evening shifts and overtime may apply; this is a DGA position and union membership is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and being able to multitask in a fast-paced environment are a must.

• Determine needs of upcoming segments, identifying production elements including props and set elements in coordination with Directors and Stagehands.
• Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership.

• The ability to read an ENPS show rundown

• Manage time for all in-studio talent and guests
• Stay aware of constant changes within the show’s broadcast
• Lead the studio production crew at the same time keeping the on-air talent at ease
• Determine needs of upcoming segments, identifying production elements including props and set elements in coordination with Directors and Stagehands
• Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership

Weekends, early mornings, evenings and holidays may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand. This is a DGA position and union membership is required.

Salary Range:

$56-$66 (per experience)
