Job summary

WRGB/WCWN is seeking a Director for our Newscast to lead production, directing and technical operations. The role will oversee the control room, supervise crew, and ensure high-quality on-air graphics using Photoshop and Deko.

The candidate must direct with clarity under pressure, manage equipment and production standards, and have strong reading/writing skills. College degree preferred; full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Directing and TDing of newscasts and productions.
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and related tools.
• Ability to clearly direct crew under pressure.
• Typing and spelling accuracy essential.
• Reading and writing skills; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productions.
• Create graphics daily using Photoshop and Deko.
• Train production crew in cameras, audio, graphics, etc.
• Supervise production crew on a daily basis.
• Maintain production studio and control room.
• Contribute to website and other tasks as assigned.
