Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Newscast Director to lead live and recorded productions across television, streaming, and digital platforms. You will oversee control room operations and coordinate cameras, audio, graphics, and staff.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality content for broadcast and online channels, including breaking news and special events. You’ll lead teams, mentor staff, and help develop efficient workflows in a fast-paced newsroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in Broadcast Production, Journalism, or related field preferred.
• At least two years of experience in television production, directing, or newsroom operations.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and weather-related coverage.

We're seeking a skilled and innovative Newscast Director to lead live and recorded productions across television, streaming, and digital platforms. What You’ll Do

• Direct live newscasts, special coverage, and locally produced programming.
• Lead control room operations, coordinating cameras, audio, graphics, and production staff.
• Produce and oversee content for broadcast, streaming, OTT, CTV, and FAST channels.
• Direct breaking news, weather, sports, election coverage, and special events.
• Operate and manage live-streaming technologies, including VMIX, OBS, and related production systems.
• Partner with newsroom, digital, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality productions across multiple platforms.
• Train and mentor production staff while helping develop best practices and workflows.
