Job summary

FOX21-KXRM/SOCO CW-KXTU in Colorado Springs seeks a director to lead FOX21's morning show and Loving Living Local, delivering high-energy broadcasts from the FOX21+ streaming studio. You will collaborate with engineers and news producers to ensure seamless on-air execution.

The role requires experience in news operations, strong communication, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. On-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Minimum two years’ experience in news operations and production. (Depending on market size)
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, and office equipment.
• Proficiency with broadcast control equipment, including Ross Overdrive or similar.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere editing software preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Engages in technical control and production of programs.
• Acts as a liaison between engineering and production departments.
• Works with the news producers to deliver a clean and high energy newscast.
• Switches video sources during live broadcasts.
• Tests equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Direct live and recorded programs as assigned from the FOX21+ streaming studio.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation Range

• Annual salary: $38,000+ commensurate with experience
