Job Summary/Description:

WVLT is looking for a creative and passionate producer who is ready to deliver urgent, important, and unique content to a multiplatform audience. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines in a high-energy environment. We are looking for a producer who is a conversational writer with a good eye for graphics and other visuals to tell the stories that matter to East Tennessee.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to:

- Produce live newscast(s) daily
- Manage station social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter/X /X, Instagram, TikTok) and produce news-forward social media content
- Communicate with anchors, reporters, assignment desk, field crews, editors, and others to ensure execution of a high-quality newscast
- Produce live breaking news and special event coverage
- Produce and run live streams on social media and company-owned platforms
- Write and publish AP-style articles for digital publication
- Act fast in a breaking news environment to get information online and in newscasts as soon as it happens
- Knowledge of search engine optimization is a plus
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
