Job Summary/Description:

WHNS - Fox Carolina News in Greenville, SC, is seeking a passionate Reporter/Multimedia Journalist to join our award-winning newsroom. The ideal candidate is organized, independent, ethical, and capable of developing stories under deadline pressure. Excellent live reporting skills and investigative mindset are essential, along with the ability to develop sources and think quickly during breaking news.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Pitch, shoot, write, edit, and present compelling stories impactful to our communities.
2. Write and post stories across digital and social media platforms.
3. Develop sources and pitch enterprise stories daily.
4. Participate in editorial decisions and strategic initiatives.
5. Demonstrate strong editorial judgment while adhering to journalistic ethics and laws.
6. Maintain professional conduct within the station and community.
7. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and viewers.
8. Work flexible hours, including overnights and weekends.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. A 4-year degree in journalism, mass communication, or related field.
2. At least two years of Reporter/MMJ experience preferred.
3. Clear, conversational writing style.
4. Understanding of AP Style.
5. Strong on-camera presence for live and pre-recorded segments.
6. Ability to work quickly and multi-task under deadlines.
7. Flexibility to work extended hours, including holidays and overnights.
8. Experience with ENPS and non-linear editing software (EDIUS) is a plus.
9. Experience with producing is a plus.
10. MVR Check required.
