Job Summary/Description:

Atlanta News First (WANF) is looking for an aggressive, experienced general assignment reporter who loves the thrill of breaking news and is an expert enterpriser. If you love reporting live, getting the exclusive, and owning the story, apply now! Must be willing to work weekends and/or mornings.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

1. Generate enterprise story ideas/ angles daily
2. Create compelling content for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms daily
3. Seek out diverse perspectives and include those voices in stories
4. Be a leader in the newsroom by actively engaging in the editorial process
5. Develop a strong network of sources in the community
6. Report live in multiple newscasts daily

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Degree in journalism or related field preferred
2. Ability to shoot and edit is strongly preferred
3. Minimum 5 years of experience as an on-air reporter or MMJ, 7+ years preferred
4. Medium/ large market experience preferred
5. Outstanding writing skills
6. Energetic, compelling live presence
7. Strong time-management skills
8. Scheduling flexibility is required
