Job Description WGAL-TV, the Hearst Television NBC affiliate located in the Lancaster-Lebanon-Harrisburg-York, PA market has an opening for a Photojournalist who embraces the mission of impactful storytelling through visual media. We are seeking a self-motivated photographer with the ability to capture the essence of what’s happening in the field and then bring it vividly into the homes and screens of our viewers. This member of our team will spend several hours each day out in the field shooting, editing, and executing live shots for stories. The winning candidate will need to be tech savvy and up to date on the most modern aspects of our medium. You must be able to shoot with Sony XD Cam or similar ENG camera and to work with gimbals, GoPro, iPhone, and other video formats to be edited in Adobe Premiere. This team member would create visual content for our social media platforms and digital products daily. Candidates should be familiar with utilizing ENG, SNG, or wireless data to transfer completed work to the station. Excellent editing skills, exceptional time-management abilities, effective communication style, organization, and knowledge of Adobe Premiere and other video sharing platforms is critical. An excellent eye for video and the highest journalistic standards is a must. If you are quick acting, quicker thinking, and technically savvy, we want you working in our newsroom.
