Zolo Broadcasting LLC is seeking a News Director in Bend, Oregon, to lead daily news, information and lifestyle programming for the Central Oregon viewing area. You will manage editorial content, supervise staff, and oversee multi-platform distribution across social media and web.

This role requires strong journalism experience and leadership under deadline pressure. You will hire and develop a team of producers, anchors, reporters, and editors, while ensuring budget adherence and high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years professional work experience.
• 4+ years experience in anchoring, producing/assistant news directing, or similar in a local television environment.
• Journalism/reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily content gathering and editorial meetings.
• Research and fact-check stories; utilize FOIA requests.
• Oversee development of local program content and staffing.
• Public speaking and appearances to promote content.
• Manage department budget and resources; lead breaking news coverage.
• Hire and develop news personnel including producers, anchors, reporters, and editors.
