Sioux Falls is one of the fastest-growing cities in the Upper Midwest and is home to more than 200,000 people. Healthcare and finance make up much of the workforce in Sioux Falls. KSFY/KDLT is an award-winning television operation serving viewers in the eastern half of South Dakota as well as portions of southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa. The stations operate from a new studio in downtown Sioux Falls as one rebranded organization called Dakota News Now. The Dakota News Now team produces 38 hours of news each week. Some of our employees have been here for more than 25 years. For others, this is their first job out of college. It's a great mix that gives us different perspectives while covering the news. People here enjoy the work they do, and everyone steps up to the plate during major news events like breaking news and severe weather.
Job Summary/Description:
Dakota News Now is looking for a full-time anchor to join our news team. We're looking for someone with great news sense, energy, and a sparkling, dynamic personality to anchor a daily newscast and work as a reporter/mmj. The ideal candidate is someone who likes telling stories and thrives on breaking news but isn’t afraid to show some personality too. Candidates must have excellent communication skills both on the air and in the newsroom. Someone who can handle breaking news situations on the air is a must. Also must possess a creative vision for what it takes to anchor a solid newscast.
