This role is a hybrid position that demands a high-level storyteller; in addition to anchoring newscasts, the successful candidate is required to report on major local stories as part of their day-to-day duties.* ### **Multimedia Reporting:** Beyond studio duties, you will act as a lead field reporter, responsible for identifying and covering "big stories" that impact the community.* **End-to-End Production:** Must be proficient in the full production cycle—**shooting, writing, and editing**—to deliver polished, high-impact segments.* **Content Volume:** Expected to complete **2 to 3 enterprise or "big story" packages per week** for air, in addition to daily anchoring responsibilities.* **Clear Presentation:** Presents news stories and other content for all platforms in a clear and concise manner.* **Journalistic Integrity:** Ensures all content meets Nexstar Media Group standards for integrity and production quality.* **Digital Engagement:** Writes content for the website and interacts with viewers via social media and other eMedia platforms.* **Team Leadership:** Works with team members, including coaching and mentoring junior staff.* **Urgent Response:** Responds to breaking news and other urgent newsroom situations as required. Requirements & Skills:* Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.* Fluency in English.* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to *ad lib* when required.* Minimum five years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring.
