KSFY/KDLT is an award-winning television operation serving viewers in the eastern half of South Dakota as well as portions of southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa. The stations operate from a new studio in downtown Sioux Falls as one rebranded organization called Dakota News Now. The facilities put Dakota News Now on the cutting edge of television and news-gathering technology, making it one of the most state-of-the-art television stations in the market and the region. The Dakota News Now team produces 38 hours of news each week.
Job Summary/Description:
Dakota News Now is looking for a dynamic anchor/multimedia journalist to join our newsroom. The ideal candidate will anchor and produce our weekend morning newscast and report three days per week.
We’re looking for someone with great news sense, energy, and a sparkling, dynamic personality to anchor a daily morning newscast. The ideal candidate must be able to produce compelling newscasts and memorable stories, thrive on breaking news but isn’t afraid to show some personality too.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills both on the air and in the newsroom. Someone who can handle breaking news situations on the air is a must. Also, one must possess a creative vision for what it takes to anchor a solid newscast.
